2007 Triathlon Results

** Canoes from McCracken Canoes are gone, they have a few Kayaks left.

If you were planning on registering for the Triathlon, you need to call McCracken Canoes at (814) 765-1410 to reserve your Canoe/kayak.

 

Race registration

Registration will begin at 7:30 AM at Pavilion #5 at Curwensville Lake  (Map of Pavilion locations can be found at www.curwensvillelake.com, click on “Pavilion” and scroll down to map).  You MUST leave enough time to drive to the bike and canoe transition sites (30-40 minute round trip) in order to be ready for the required pre-race meeting at 9:45AM if you don’t drop your canoes, kayaks and bikes off before entering the Lake.  Race will start at 10:00AM at the front of PJ Bressler’s Bait Shop.  There is limited parking at the starting line so please carpool if possible.  There will also be registration Friday night, May 16th from 7:00-9:00 PM at Pavilion #5.

Bike Transition Area

This transition area will be open at 7:30 AM so participants can drop off their bikes before registering at the Curwensville Lake.  This will be convenient when traveling to Curwensville Lake from the direction of Clearfield.  From I-80 take exit 120 and follow 879 west.  After approximately .5 miles you will turn left at Carbon Mine Road.  It will be before the bridge that crosses the river.  The transition area will be at the first home on the right.  See the course map on this website.

Canoe Transition Area

The canoe transition area will be at the Curwensville Civic Center.  After the bike transition area, get back on 879 West.  At first traffic light make a left.  Cross the river and Civic Center will be on the left.  This transition area will be open at 7:30 AM so participants can drop off their canoes or kayaks before registering at the Curwensville Lake. 

 

Directions to Curwensville Lake:

Off Exit 120 (old exit 19) I-80 Route 879 West. Then 879 West to Curwensville onto Route 453 South. WATCH FOR ROAD SIGNS!

Off Exit 111 (Old exit 18) I-80 onto Route 153 South to 879 West to Curwensville onto Route 453 South. WATCH FOR ROAD SIGNS!
