The Pink Lady Winterberry (Ilex verticillata 'Pink Lady') is a deciduous holly shrub known for its striking pink berries that brighten up winter landscapes. This compact shrub typically grows 3 to 6 feet tall and wide, with glossy green leaves that turn vibrant shades of red and orange in the fall. Comes in at 15"-25" at purchase.

Care Instructions:

  1. Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade; more sun enhances berry production.
  2. Soil: Thrives in moist, acidic, well-draining soil; tolerates clay but prefers loamy conditions.
  3. Watering: Regular watering is crucial, especially during dry spells. Ensure the soil remains consistently moist.
  4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to support healthy growth.
  5. Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring to shape the shrub and remove any dead or damaged branches.
  6. Pests/Diseases: Generally pest-resistant but watch for leaf spots and scale insects. Good air circulation helps prevent fungal issues.

With its beautiful berries and seasonal interest, the Pink Lady Winterberry is a fantastic addition to gardens, providing wildlife habitat and winter color!
