Sugar Maple (Acer saccharum)


The sugar maple is a large deciduous tree native to eastern North America, celebrated for its brilliant fall foliage in shades of yellow, orange, and red, as well as its role in producing maple syrup from its sap. Comes 18" - 24" at pickup.


Care Instructions:

  • Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
  • Soil: Thrives in well-drained, fertile, slightly acidic to neutral soil.
  • Water: Requires consistent moisture but tolerates short dry spells once established.
  • Temperature: Hardy in USDA zones 3-8, thriving in cooler climates with distinct seasons.
  • Pruning: Prune in late winter to remove dead or weak branches and maintain shape.
