Family Fishing Programs

Both educational and fun, these programs will instruct participants on basic fishing skills and what it means to be a SMART Angler. Following demonstrations and practice are a few hours of family fishing time to experience just how fun fishing can be.
If you've never had a chance to fish and would like to experience a morning of fishing with your children, these are definitely the events for you!
With the exception of the Veterans Fishing Program, these events are geared toward children between 6 and 15 years of age though children outside that age range including family members can still participate.
While you can bring your own rod and bait with you, we will be providing everything you need that day so anyone can participate whether you have equipment or not. Additionally, no license will be necessary for adult fisherman participating in our program for THESE EVENTS ONLY! Anyone not participating in the entire event or fishing on their own that day at the lake MUST have their fishing license in accordance with PA Fish and Boat Commission regulations.
A huge thank you to our supporters including:
PA Fish and Boat Commission
Allegheny Mountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited
